The NSW Government has finalised its response to the Rural Health Inquiry, reaffirming its commitment to improve health outcomes for all people living in rural, regional and remote NSW. The NSW Government supports or supports in principle 41 of the 44 recommendations.
The NSW Government’s response to the Inquiry coincides with the unveiling of our new Regional Health Ministerial Advisory Panel (RHMAP)
Chaired by Richard Colbran, CEO of the NSW Rural Doctors Network, the panel will advise the Minister for Regional Health, the Secretary of NSW Health and the Coordinator-General of the Regional Health Division on opportunities and solutions to improve healthcare, hospital and support services in regional NSW.
The purpose of the RHMAP is to advise the Minister for Regional Health, the Minister for Health and the Secretary, Ministry of Health on opportunities and solutions to improve healthcare, hospital and health support services in regional NSW. The panel will also strengthen community engagement and foster genuine co-design principles in the development of healthcare services.
Congratulations to The Buttery’s Chief Executive Officer Leone Crayden on her appointment to the panel.
