Maintenance to Abstinence Program

maintenance to abstinence program

On Sunday 2 July, The Buttery’s Maintenance to Abstinence (MTA) program turned 10. MTA has been operating since 2013 when the first two residents were accepted into the program. MTA is a mid-term residential program specialising in opioid substitution treatment. The program is for people who wish to withdraw from an opiate substitute maintenance program to pursue an abstinence-based lifestyle.

The Buttery acknowledges the MTA team on this milestone occasion. We acknowledge David Dalton (pictured with Sam Booker), who has worked on the program since its inception. David’s dedication has been invaluable and contributed to the program’s success. Also acknowledging former Buttery staff member, Trent Rees, for his contribution to MTA from the outset and throughout.

Thank you for helping The Buttery to make a significant difference in the lives of the people we support.
