Healthy Hub Connect launched

Everyone should have ready access to free or low-cost mental health care in their community, no matter where they live.

Healthy Hub Connect was launched on Gumbaynggirr land in Coffs Harbour in September. Healthy Hub Connect is a groundbreaking partnership of five organisations delivering the biggest community-based mental health service the NSW North Coast has seen. Healthy Hub Connect will provide a range of mental health supports for people living between Port Macquarie and the Queensland border. EACH CEO Natalie Sullivan said affordable local support was the key to Australians being and staying mentally well.

“Too many people with complex mental health challenges end up in acute services like hospitals,” Natalie said. “We want people to be able to get whatever kind of support they need, when they need it, close to home.”

“Our vision is that everyone has the power to live well and integrated, community-based partnership services like Healthy Hub Connect are the best way to make that happen.”

We’re grateful to our service partners The Buttery and The Buttery Private, Ability Options, Health Voyage Ltd, and Wellways Australia; and to the service’s funder, Healthy North Coast through the North Coast Primary Health Network, an Australian Government initiative.”
