Chronic Disease Risk Factors – Mental Health

chronic disease research

Beginning in 2018, The Buttery was one of several leading organisations delivering support services to people with mental health conditions that participated in a study conducted by The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre.

The study aims to identify and develop effective services to improve outcomes for people with mental health conditions who frequently suffer preventable chronic diseases and have reduced life expectancies as a result of modifiable risk behaviours that include harmful alcohol consumption, smoking, poor nutrition, and poor sleep habits.

With over 40 years experience, The Buttery has a high success rate treating these behaviours.
