Building our New Buttery
Building a Centre of Excellence
Plans for The New Buttery Centre of Excellence for Recovery from Addiction have been approved by the The Byron Shire Council . This page shows a bird’s eye view of the site for the new Buttery site, currently Ozzie Jackson Farm. The project includes a major replanting with native vegetation of the 40 acres, onsite state of the art sewage treatment and environmentally friendly building design. Executive Director, Barry Evans worked with the project’s architects tzg, landscape architect Lisa Hochhauser and planner Rob Doolan to pull all elements together. The new Buttery Centre of Excellence for Recovery from Addiction will double the number of beds to 60 and be a place for research and training for doctors, psychologists and other health professionals.
The Buttery is most grateful to its donors, supporters and volunteers for their efforts in helping bring the vision of a Centre of Excellence to reality.
Donations to The Buttery are tax deductible.
